Well, guys, I fukked up yesterday. Without going into details I will just say that a momentary lapse of discipline coast me $400 (half my roll) I made a hundred back so now I sit at 500. I was up 4u in this thread. I am going to keep the same record and +units for this thread.
4/20 I went 3-3-1. 4/21 no plays
While I'm encouraging others to continue posting I figured I better check in with my abandoned thread.
Basically, I figured out I'm not very good at this yet. I have still been making plays daily, just been tailing for the majority of them. Didn't want to just post plays others had picked. Also, I found myself making picks just to have my own original plays, ya know. And those usually lost. I know that's stupid, but it is the truth.
I'm still learning and trying to perfect my style. I want to contribute to a site that has helped me along in this endeavor, but I don't feel like I am good enough to make my own picks...yet.
To all those who do post picks and to those who post advice and insight into handicapping...THANK YOU!
*sorry, if you came here for picks, but got this boring comment instead

Success is not built on success. It's built on failure. It's built on frustration. Sometimes its built on catastrophe. *Sumner Redstone,
Crystos, all the numbers and information is out there for you to use for free. I see you have 552 (110 units @ 5per play)bet points, lay off Real $$ for a couple weeks and bet with them. Track your p/l and what went wrong or right for you. Do some homework before placing any wager, "Has Team A been on fire lately, but the last 10 HU games Team B smoked them 8-2 and that Team A starter was 2 of the losses"?
Think of it as a business and put work in. Bounce thoughts off handicappers you respect (never ever pay for a service, they split picks so 50% is always happy) build your own platform.
BOL,
BH

Thanks for the advice, Broke. I'm going to do exactly that. I just deposited some points and placed a few wagers that I like. I will still bet $$ as I am determined to profit from doing this. Using my instinct and tailing those with more skill than I possess, I was actually doing really well. I have lost half my BR twice however on lapses of discipline. Point is, I'm still earning. But, again, I want to get to the point where I can make my own picks and contribute around here.
The problem is my confidence has been shaken and I can't pull the trigger on my own picks for fear of losing what I have earned. The betpoints are a great way for me to hone my skill and regain that confidence. I had never actually used the SBR Sportsbook, so thanks again for the recommendation.
