Looking at the Pirates today, I think they're a pretty big winner today. Bucs are coming off a big sweep of the Marlins and are going in to face a San Diego team whose 2 best pitchers lost. Correia is godawful, and I think Snell will pull out a good win today.

Looking at the Pirates today, I think they're a pretty big winner today. Bucs are coming off a big sweep of the Marlins and are going in to face a San Diego team whose 2 best pitchers lost. Correia is godawful, and I think Snell will pull out a good win today.

Tbill as a pirate fan, I just can't see any way this team hits 10 wins this early in the season....it normally takes till may 2nd for that.

but yeah, Snell is capable of coming out and dominating at times, didn't happen alot last year, but his mechanics are better this year. guy has one of the top sliders in the game when he is on.

No. I have a lot of action today between baseball and NBA. My favorite play for today is the Rockets and the Rockets/Blazers under 184.5. I am playing those two a wee bit higher than the rest (dimes). But nothing else today is even over $350 vigorish included.

True, but as a guy who's seen Kevin Correia pitch with the Giants and whose watched the Padres blow their last 2 to a truly godawful Giants team (I don't think the world actually knows how godawful the Giants are yet...but seriously), I think I'd trust the Pirates a little more than the Padres.

Like the Angels, I may start fading the Padres every game that their top 2 pitchers aren't on the hill. Hell I may even start fading Young and Peavy simply because they BOTH lost to the Giants.

Have faith in your Pirates, they hit 10 wins tonight!

This is why I'm not going with Philly. I like Johnson but I don't have a clear favorite here. Philly needs a win, and the Marlins looked pretty bad in their last series...but I can't bet on the Myers splits and feel good about it.

Were it me, and it's not, I would not make it "pick of the year". My boys are playing the Pistons with and without the points and although not booked yet I'll be tossing a few coins in the fountain. I don't make many basketball selections but will tonight. Just my 2 cents.

Padilla is high class ass against Baltimore the last two seasons. Dude hasn't gotten past 5 IP in any of his starts against them since 2007. That one oughta be a slobber knocker though if they get Uehara out by the 5-6 and let the bullpens start yacking up runs.

a lot of games jumped out at me for fri, but i'm going to stay disciplined and play the one game which really stands out. i know ck - no free chicken dinners. but i think even you may like this one. the mets just got swept in cin and now its up to their ace/stopper johan santanna to stop the bleeding. in his career vs the nats he has an era/whip of 2.50/1.05 and the mets were 3-0 in his starts vs the nats last year (all won by 2+ runs). known as a traditional slow starter, johan has been a beast so far posting an era/whip .46/.81 with 27k's to 5BB's in 19inn. Pure filth. Scott Olsen on the flip side has been awful thus far with an era/whip 9.00/1.80. in his career vs the mets, he has a 4.75/1.40, and the marlins are 4-9 in those starts. johan steps up for the sliding mets.
