Peavy is overrated and nothing without Petco Park. I wonder if this guy would even have a .500 record.

Hes horrible. He can only beat weal NL west teams and at petco. Why did he get destroyed plaing teams like the cubs all those years. you know he hated interleague play.

Yea i know it might be too early to say anything but he was a beast 2 years ago b/c he pitched at Petco park! You don't think a good pitcher like Aj Burnett would have Peavys numbers if he pitched for the Padres?

I agree Harden is overrated as well. I would consider him the 2nd most overrated. Dempster is good.

I bet so many people are so surprised with Peavy struggling. Why are you people surprised? His numbers were NEVER good when he pitched outside Petco Park. When he faced AL opposition, he would get crushed and leave the game early

Peavy is not over rated, you guys just expect him to pitch like the roided out peavy.. If you'd notice I took the Over in the Whitesox game today for this very reason( along with the fact that Chicago can hit average lefties like Tallet)

it sucks because I am a fan of the white sox but yeah Peavy is overrated, thankfully none of the prospects we gave up for him are worth anything and I hope he can prove me wrong but Buehrle is the best pitcher we have hands down

This guy is just trash. Thank goodness people here see him as overrated. I am surprised there are no pitchers that ask themselves to be traded the Padres. Sure they have few run support but they would not be giving up much runs.

Can you guys imagine if Halladay, Sabathia or a guy like John Lackey pitched in San Diego? Their ERAs would be one of the lowest ever in baseball.

Peavy is weak so far this season; it's ok though as he will get hurt and be placed on the injured reserve. He can't hurt the White Sox from there!

LOL at Jake peavy. Well well well another jake peavy performance while pitching in the AL.

I checked out his stats tonight. He gave up 5 runs in the first inning! 5 innings pitched, 6 runs, 6 hits, 5 walks and 7 strikeouts. I see his ERA is currently 7.85. However, his record is only 0-2 when he should be 0-5 with every single performance this year.

Seriously this guy is overrated. And finally some of you guys are starting to see this. I noticed this ever since 2007 when he did have that great Cy young year. He is nothing without Petco Park. I think this guy has a good chance to go 2-8 the first 10 games of the season.

Anyone else? You think a guy like Roy Halladay or Tim Lincecum would struggle like this if they were pitching for the white sox? Of course not because those are the real elite pitchers.

Peavy is just average at BEST like i said last year. Be funny if they send him down to AAA.

LOL at Peavy against the Indians. This fraud is now 3-4 with a 6.05 ERA. He should have more losses than his record indicated otherwise. His offense helped him and i think he has 2-3 No Decisions where he should be right now 3-6 or 3-7.

Check this out. 2 of his 3 wins are against the Kansas City Royals! And his other win is against the horrible blue jays. Imagine if he pitches against the Yankees or the Rays. He has in the past and got blown out.

His 2 wins this year are against the ROYALS. The Royals are one of the worst hitting lineups in the A.L. Thats like him facing the Giants in the N.L.

Peavy is the biggest fraud pitcher ever. I knew this guy was going to be an average pitcher AT BEST once he goes to the A.L.
