With only 7 games today, but a few 3 game series starting, I started thinking about my picks for this week yesterday.
I am too late for Boston already.
The one obvious pick for today is OAK-NYY with NYY as a money line pick
Now lets look at 5 other possible picks...
ATL-WAS
On one hand, ATL are favorite in pitching department, and also WAS are 1-11. However, baseball is very mathematical game, and WAS may be overdue for a few wins. Will they sweep the series? Probably not. However, I think I should bet on them only if I want to chase the 3 game series.
COL-ARI
The only thing that interests me in this game is a pitchers mismatch in terms of runs and record, but at a closer look, its not that big. However, I got a trial version of baseball predicting software, and it says that COL will win. I think so too, but the software is 1-5 in the past 3 days.
FLA-PIT
FLA is 11-1 and are probably overdue for a couple of losses. I wouldn't give an significant edge to anyone in pitching dept. The only reason to bet on this today is to chase a 3 game series. Another possible bet on this game is an OVER bet.
SD-PHI
Not interested in ML bet. Maybe an OVER bet?
CIN-HOU
Last game of the series, not interested one bit.
This leaves us with 4 possible bets:
