He has to go to a AL team. To become a DH. I guess Mariners or Royals.

I thought he was your boy, Dan.

      Not my boy looker

I see him signing with somebody that needs to put some fans in the stands. Maybe Baltimore will give him a contract.

He would be better suited in the AL as a dh, but I think he will ultimately end up staying with the Giants.

Probably didn't burn out as many brain cells as those of us who somehow managed to survive the 60s and 70s

Looks like Bonds might sign with the A's.

Good or bad move by Billie Bean?

They need somebody to replace Thomas so I think it's a good move if it goes down.

I think this move might kill the A's. Their clubhouse doesn't seem like one to welcome Mr. Bonds with open arms.

Now this is a move I just don't quite understand with his knee problems. The latest reports are saying that the Padres are now interested in signing Bonds.

I see that the Giants want Bonds back now.

Lets face facts here... The more I think this would be the right move for the Giants to make really. If he's this close to the home run record, and have endured all that abuse with the roids investigation. I know he's 42 years old now, but Bonds need to take a pay cut and stay with SF right now.

It's offical... Taco's boy signed with the Giants for $16 million, on a 1year deal.

So Taco, do you really think he's worth that type of loot with 2 bad knees, and no roids

Deal could be worth 20 million with incentives.

Probably not compared to the salaries of other players out there. But I'm pretty sure that having him in SF in whatever condition puts enough bums on seats to pay for the deal.

The Giants probably make this much in MLB merchandising and their own stadium shops each season. The money is pouring in for a lot of teams. Paul Beeston summed it up best when he was in the Blue Jays' front office. To paraphrase, 'Show me a $4 million dollar profit sheet, and I can turn it into a $3 million loss.' Accounting, not plastics, that's where the money was all this time.
