1st the Red Sox now if they get Scrubbies into and win a W.S. that's almost 200 years and many generations of fans suffering ending these guys engineered. How many blank checks gonna thrown at these guys? I know Theo signed thru maybe 1 more year I believe? Congrats Cubbo fans still ways to go however...

And with Boston, he inherited a pretty strong organization. With the Cubs, he had a totally different approach to wipe the slate top to bottom. The result is this team is actually better set up to last. Nothing guaranteed, but he knew whst was he doing. And his young talent and farm is the envy of every GM.

Cannot argue that D2 and I know your a big Cubbie fan. Went to Wrigley several years back for 1st time they lost to Brewers but what a great time there! Nice to see no matter who wins know it's gonna be a team that has not won in decades and that's good for mlb. These younger teams like Stros, Cubs, Mets , and smaller markets like KC is good for mlb and exciting to watch I must say. Got all respect in world for teams like Stl they do it better than anyone but new blood is nice. Don't have a dog in this fight really since I'm just a bases fan with no real die hard team just few I like more than others. But bol to your Cubs

Getting Rizzo for that "forever promising, throwing 97 MPH but did not know what to do with it" dumbass Cashner was the steal of the century.

Less of a steal than Jake Arrieta and Pedtro Strop for Scott Feldman and Steve Clevenger?
Or how about Addison Russell for Jeff Samardzjia?

Don't remind on Russell for Samar the Oak A's one of teams I "like" more than rest. That one hurt and I figured it was going to! No different than any team that's ever won anything though. Much is luck on field , (ball bounces right, healthy, etc) and some is good gm's having vision and making smart schrewd moves. Every team ever won a title probably can attest to that!
