No play on the Cardinals? I'm surprised. Cubs have won two home playoff games in a row only twice in over a hundred years.

Good pick LT. I see we are both high on the stros and mets/cubs. You got the mets winning it all, I got the cubs. Hope we got an NLCS with both teams. Should be fun

^ Wrong game...
Molina is out though due to thumb still feeling weak. Tony Cruz is replacing him.

As a Cubs fan Molina is a plus for them tonight. He couldn't swing a bat. Give a wounded Molina all day.
So Lackey was favored over Lester and is now a dog vs Hammels. That isn't all because of Wrigley. Lackey loses tonight.

Mets +145 for this homer. Matz is a bulldog with legit stuff; it was only AA, but he took a no-no into the 8th inning of his start in last years championship. I think he will handle the moment better than people expect. I'm also pleased to see Terry is sending out the same sticks as game 3. GL, LT.

Lackey was a tiny favorite of -110 or less at home over Lester, so yes venue does matter. But pitching on three days rest is an added wrinkle.

Don't you miss the days when everyone pitched on 3 days rest all year? As they used to say, "Spahn, Sain, and pray for rain".
Not to mention no one even heard of a pitch count. When Koufax, Gibson, Carlton, Seaver, etc. went out there no one was even in the bullpen in some parks.

Yes. Not quite that old, but in my day, each team had 4 starters, not 5 , not 6. late 50's & 60's.

Exactly. That's why both games go under today. Managers will exhaust every arm they have to keep runs off the board in these elimination games.

Why do you always ask the same type of question when you already know the answer?
We get it...you do not agree with and/or understand the concepts of efficient markets, value, and quantitative statistics

As a fellow Met fan Moe, let me ask you this...why hasn't Conforto been in the starting lineup yet? I was stunned when Collins went with Cuddyer in game 1, and it almost cost us dearly.
