How about a Baseball POUND Play?
Ok here we go! Today first game on the board, Cubs vs Cardinals.

Here we have the Cubs at home with a chance to finally get past a series round playoff. No goats no ghosts, no jinx just a solid team hitting the crap out of the ball verses a injured ball club who are sending out a old fart on SHORT rest. This spells disaster for the Cards.

Arrieta's stuff has rubbed off on the other Cubs pitchers. This team will NOT allow this to go back to St.louis.

I could go on and on but bottom line is I'm saying POUND the Cubs and celebrate with them!

told you scrubbies would bounce your squad than mine, lol. not today tho my man, we hit hammel, lackey a warrior and hasnt allowed a hr to a scrubbie ever in 160+ plate appearances, and cards just not going out like this! we will lose gm 5 tho cause lester will beat whatever stiff we forced to throw out there.. for insurance cards tt 0v 3.5 and gm over 8. but cards the play, good news is you can chase cubs gm 5 and win, lol.

told you they would beat us both, lol.. problem is lackey will take that enthusiasm and turn it against them, guy understands how to pitch to these kids. 130 official at bats, 0 home runs! after cards even it up im taking lester and cubs to pound town in game 5.. if cards do lose hopefully the team total over 3.5 covers me from losing, just dont see hammel being the guy to bounce lackey in a decisive game, i think being a pirate fan you underestimating the value of cards being here year after year, they will find a way to get this back to stl. after that they shit out of luck as their nothing but stiffs as options to pitch that game vs lester. god i want cards to win so bad today, more cause it sets up a great bet on scrubbies gm 5! (im a terrible fan, lol)..

fans will participate in stl, they were out in droves when i was at gm 2, i was shocked how many there were! fans wont help them today, the atmosphere will hurt when they give off that "oh no we cursed vibe" , lol.

Hammel has been shit and even worse in day games 3-9, factor in the 1.65 era Lackey has vs cubs and his team is 6-1 in those starts

its easy to see where common sense will steer the masses

I am siding with the Cubs as you mentioned they are playing good ball and cards are banged up

considering Hammels rarely goes past 5......the 24-11 home record for the pen might just be what the the Dr ordered

          Cubs 3 units

since we have yet to see a 1 run victory......throwing half a unit on +385 a well

I think your right on cards TT over. Yes they screwed my team. However not sure if they lose today they win game 5. That's a ton of pressure in StLouis with a veteran team.

but lester no stranger to that shit being on boston when they did it. bottom line is if there a game 5 we have to pitch a stiff! no clue who it even be? surely they cant trot back out the mental midget mexican who cant field a bunt! lynn? he throws far too many fastballs to deal with this lineup, wacha been shit all second half for some reason plus too short a turn around. really have no clue who we would trot out there but doesnt matter cause lester will pitch a gem and pressure be off as they tee off early on whatever sacrificial lamb we start. there a reason lackey going today, he only guy we got that can keep them in check, lol..

makes no sense but to be expected round here. maybe his slider not good on short rest, if it is cubs will flail at it like always, if it isnt it had jack shit to do with your asinine "due" theory and certainly nothing to do with some other pitcher yesterday. it speaks to him understanding this lineup, it not luck or a accident. he isnt any more due to give up hrs than he is to pitch a perfect gm..

That is true, but can't say the due theory doesn't make sense. It's not crazy talk, guy. Yet again not something somebody should rely on. I don't think he gives up over 2 home runs -- much better than Wacha

of course when a guy on a streak like arriatta was inevitably it gonna come to a end at some point but there never a game it any more likely than another. really dont think this is the same tho cause not like some cubs dont have ok numbers vs lackey, i just think he understands the way they beat you is the long ball so he very selective about challenging them with heat where as wacha would fall behind in count and just rear back and throw hard as he could over and over to a fastball hitting squad.

i honestly have no idea wtf happened to wacha in the second half? nothing wrong with his velocity yet he went from borderline dominate to a bum in the second half, never seen anything like it..

Like you said, fell behind is some counts - started chucking away. couldn't find the strike zone in the first inning, pretty sure he got himself in 4 full counts before the 8th batter.

Any word on whose catching tonight for the Cards?? I know Molina got pulled last night, hurt his back on a swing

i mean just what happened to wacha in general the whole second half he was pretty bad, i expected it yesterday.

id assume cruz, not issue imo. yadi cant swing bat so he a hole on offense and not like lackey needs his presence calling the game.
