I'll never forget the time people were congratulating Nolan Ryan as the GM in the playoffs when they were 1 out away and somehow St. Louis moved the line til Pujols came up and he hit one completely out of the stadium to break their hearts.

I don't remember that at all. When was this? I remember a similar situation in game 6 of the World Series when Pujols managed to fight for a single before David Freese saved the day with a game tying triple off the right field wall before coming up to the plate two innings later and hitting a walk off bomb to center field to force game seven.

I still don't think Freese got enough attention and recognition for his performance in that game. It was one of the very top few clutch World Series performances in the history of the sport. I'll never forget the look in Albert Pujols' eyes when he looked back at Freese after he hit that season saving triple. It was pure gratitude and love.
