Not the same thing because they won't win pennant. The Mets/Dodgers NLDS is really the NLCS. In fact, winner of that series probably wins World Series. AL is so weak that I actually like Astros.

Mets 30 games over .500 against NL losing teams.
12 under vs. winning NL teams and the AL.
You're saying Mets beat either Cubs or Cards if they advance?

It's hard to not get blinded by 100 wins, it doesn't happen by accident. This year, Cubs aren't better, they didn't win the division. Right now, the Cubs are hotter. This is typical Cardinals. When you least expect them to achieve, they will. We thought they wouldn't come near 100 wins this year when Wainwright went down for the year but, they finish with the best record in the MLB. What the Cubs have going for them is, they're the "hot" team entering the playoffs. What I don't like about the Cubs in this series, Arrieta pitched last night. The Cardinals just have this way of knowing how to win games in any way, shape or form. It's incredible. It's because they've been here plenty of times before. I'm leaning Cardinals in this series. We just agree to disagree in this one, LT. Best of luck to whatever you play.

Mets win World Series if they advance because that have best overall starting rotation in playoffs. Dodgers easily have best 1-2 (and one if the best of all time), but 3-4 starters are weak.

I am looking at my ratings for the entire season, not just during Cubs hot run. Over the whole year, Cubs have better starters and better bullpen. Keep in mind my model is sabre based and could not care less about common stats like ERA and WHIP. We shall see.

            Good Luck to You too.

No problem, Arrieta in Game 1 and 4, Mets win the rest and don't see him a third time.

                          Cubs easily.

Cubs starters overall ERA = 3.36

Cardinals starters overall ERA = 2.99

ONLY advantage Cubs have in this series is that Cardinals played this season with key injuries throughout
and they still have some of those key injuries.

                            ERA is an awful stat.

Stop looking at ERA. Cubs starters have far superior sabre numbers. My fourth rated Cubs starter (Hendricks) grades out almost equal to my highest rated Cardinals starter (Lackey). Cubs should have the pitching edge in every game, hence my "daring" sweep prediction.

LT if you feel so strongly about Chicago winning the series and even have them sweeping how are you not pounding them at -115? I know you're a big numbers guy and we all have our betting styles but seems weird to me.

                                    -115 is a bullshit line.

Yeah I have a tough time pricing series without knowing exact pitching matchups throughout, which is why I do not makes series bets unless I get at least decent + odds.
