    Ratzz.

    They could win.

Be careful as I do not want the Jays jinxed.

    Tread lightly

hey Vaugh, how are you, bud?

do you mean the Yanks beat Houston... then beat KC?.. then beat Toronto in the ALCS (if Jays beat Texas)

the Yanks just lost 6-of-7 games to two NON-Playoff teams. and those were "must-win-to-clinch" games

Yanks in the ALCS is a seeeerious stretch, buddy

      at least in my opinion

Ratzz I have been good man. How have you been?

I have been very busy lately and not posting as much. Also drinking more than is advisable. I will turn things around though. It is my only choice.

        I agree with you.

I just know that the city has a lot invested in this playoff run.

An early exit would devastate many, including myself, who have not seen the Jays in the playoffs since they were small children.

The first rule of Toronto sports is that you do not get too excited as then they will lose first round.

i understand.. i have similar feelings with regard to the Canadiens (home team)
the fans there are insane.. (not in a good way)

what i do here is not read by any players for or against...

but Habs fans start that "olé-olé" song if they are up a goal in the 1st period of a playoff game.

it only really fires up the opposing team.. i have seen at least 10 games where the game looked under control–
the mocking chant started... and the game and series turned..

they should not serve alcohol at Habs games.. fans can't manage it

we can only hope for the best.. i think that we look good, though, we have good pitching, in Price, Stroman, Estrada..
and we certainly have good bats.

and that's all you can hope for, really.

nothing is a lock, and of it were a lock, it would not be worth watching

we'll talk to you soon, Mr. Mo Vaugh..

I always say that sweeps make for unexciting playoff series.

for once I would gladly like to see a team go 11-0

omg.. please never wish for your team to ever sweep an opponent
                in a preliminary Round...

                that is super bad luck.

seriously, sure it is relaxing.. but not worth it

i have noticed that teams that sweep- tend to play poorly in the following Round

Sweeping in the World Series is okay

i know that "cave" means "beware" as in "cave canum" = beware of dog

so this must mean "Beware The Ides of October"

my father was fluent in Latin, (as well as 11 other languages)
                    is this correct?

                    if so.. great post!
