    Tuesday MLB: 2 Sides
    MLB Record 1-2 (-1.00 Units)

1-2 Yesterday with the Mets bats staying alive, Jiminez crashing hard in the 6th, and a close D'backs loss. Two sides for today:

    HOU (-126)
    @ NYY

Houston bats have gone cold recently but they have faced some seriously tough starting pitchers over the last week (Archer, Grienke, Kershaw, and last night: a fireball hurling Eovaldi). While Nova isn’t quite on their level, he’s been having a pretty decent season. He also has a 5.14 xFIP @ home and might be riding a bit of a lucky wave with an insanely low 0.230 BABIP in NYY. Meanwhile, the Yankees are hitting 0.224 in August with an 83 wRC+ and will be facing a Keuchal allowing 0.236 avg. with a 2.73/3.30 FIP/xFIP over the same period. The Yankees haven’t faced a LH starting pitcher in their L10 games and could be in for a challenge tonight.

    OAK (+108) @ SEA
Montgomery is having an awful 2nd half after an impressive start to his big league career. Since game 81 of the Mariners season he has a 1.96 WHIP with a 14% BB rate. Seattle had a 96% win expectancy in the 5th inning yesterday while they were up 5-0. They went on to lose the game 11-5. After blowing the lead they did not register a single baserunner (15 up, 15 down). With 7 losses in their L10 games the Mariners are now 8 games behind the second WC team and are virtually eliminated from the playoff race. It sure looked like they quit yesterday. If Chavez can throw a decent game, I wouldn’t be surprised if they quit again.
