My friend is a huge Cards fan and is willing to put up $1,000 vs my $1,000 that the Cardinals will win the World Series. If anyone but the Cards wins the championship, I win the money. Obviously the odds are in my favor in a huge way. What do you guys think? Should I do it? We'd be giving the money to a mutual third party friend who would hold onto the money and give the winner their money.
