Rough start to the afternoon but like the night slate so let's get underway.....
Sides:
Tampa Bay -160
This is a steep price to pay and anyone that takes NY +$$ is taking a good shot but I like the Rays with their ace on the hill. The price also fits into my trend of the game: Rays are 34-2 in their last 36 games as a favorite of -151 to -200. With no Tex and no Arod this is a good spot for the Rays. Wang got beat up in his first outing and I look for TB to beat him up again tonight.
Reds +130
Reds are one of my sleepers this year because of the pitching staff and Volquez is one of those reasons. He got beat up in his first game but against a stronger lineup. This fits into my trend of the game: Reds are 13-3 in Volquezs last 16 starts following a team loss in their previous game. The Reds are not hitting so well yet but neither are the Brewers at just .218 out the gate.
Minnesota -130
I bit it hard taking a bad team with a tough price earlier today but like how the Twins stack up here. This is a bullpen play for me as both pitchers have struggled so to me the starters are a wash. The home team looking to get a win is a place I like to back the small chalk. Home is never a bad place to back the Twins where they are are 37-15 in their last 52 home games. (Trend of the game)
Totals:
NONE--**NOTE** Since this is the first game(s) of a series I look for umpire's and when I uncover who it is with the line up I can post late plays. These plays are late but I count them towards my record since I do play them. So check back for umpire info.
