agree with you on the Tigers, he is my take.....

The bats finally came alive yesterday scoring 15 runs and handing the Rangers their 1st loss of the season (only unbeaten team remaining is the Marlins).Verlander gave up 8 runs in 3.2 innings @ Toronto earlier this week. His pattern last year was a poor performance followed by a strong performance followed by a poor performance, etc. he also has a tendency of performing better at home. The Rangers will counter with Matt Harrison who grew up right down the road from me playing his high school ball at South Granville High; he committed to NC State but decided to sign with the Braves in 2003. He was called up last year in late September and made 15 appearances. He finished the season 9-3 with a 5.49ERA, he did get plenty of run support in most those wins (15, 15, 14, 9, 8, 7, 3, 3, and 3 runs). No much of a middle ground with him, if he is on and locating his pitches he can be very effective getting a lot of ground ball outs, if he’s off since he is not over powering when his pitches become elevated he leaves himself vulnerable to getting hit all over the park. Liking Verlander @ home with the bounce back, Texas is use to playing in the sandbox lots of fly balls that leave that park are routine fly balls at Comerica Park, if Texas doesn’t adjust the Tigers might not need another offensive explosion and could still be capable of getting the win. With a weak and injured Tiger bullpen I see value in 1st 5 innings, until Zumaya comes off the DL and they get setup man Rodney out the closer roll, them w/ the Braves will cost themselves lots of wins in the 8th and 9th innings this year.
