Where do oddsmakers get these numbers? What are they basing it on? I understand why Boston was favored, but -190? Seriously?

Why not? Texas is 18-23. Boston is 19-22. Not like it was a 30-11 team against an 11-30 opponent. Line was just plain absurd.

Agree, but I also posted this when it was 2-0 in the 3rd inning. The live line on Texas at the time was still just -110. I had a hard time believing books could be off by 50 cents -- I had Red Sox -140 -- but from now on, I guess I take the free money when it's offered.

The only reason we didn't play Texas last night was BC Boston was -190 when they should have been like -150.

Maybe the books knew what they were doing as it scared some of us away.
