good luck LT
careful with that D-Backs pick
De La Rosa gives up over 5 runs a game on the road and he has given up 4 bombs on the road.
by contrast Dan Haren is undefeated at home with a microscopic 1.59 era

Haren is all smoke and mirrors at this stage of his career, the guy has not broken 88 MPH all year and has benefited from a .240 BABIP. His regression may have begun with his awful last start. De La Rosa is no All-Star or anything like that, but he is serviceable with four Quality Starts in his last six starts and this is his first start ever vs. Marlins. And I don't really care about this being first game for Miami under new manager, in fact that may have led to a slight up-tick in this line. Baseball is based more on individual matchups that other sports, so "motivation" of wanting to win for new manager doesn't mean as much as other team sports.

I know this is directed at LT, but I looked into it as well (LT might have a different angle).
Wind blowing in at nearly 15 mph is about only plus for the Under...aside from quite a few games in Miami going Under this season (no stats on that though).
De La Rosa likely to give up at least 4 vs Fish and Haren has been schooled by 3 or 4 in D'backs line-up.
8 might be about right, but I lean Over.

My model has this game pegged at 8.3, but that does not account for the wind. No play as of now although projected total may change once umpires are announced.

A's at +120 against 21 year old making first career start. Interesting...
Remember 2 weeks ago when Houston was a -145 Monday favorite after their 4 game home sweep of Seattle? They lost to Rangers.
Same exact spot tonight. Just 4 game home swept Toronto, now big Monday favorite.
