Tim Cooney is an absolute beast on the mound. A crafty lefty that forces ground balls out the ass. Not to mention he's from Philadelphia and will be playing against his favorite team growing up. Yeah, there's good value on taking the Phils vs a rookie pitcher, but assessing the situation and putting the Cards offense against Buchanan who is about as bad of a starting pitcher as they come... Not worth it to me. Not to mention, they want Cooney to start out on a hot note and give him confidence moving forward. Becoming Waino's replacement has got to be nerve racking, so I can't imagine the Cardinals not putting together another big offensive performance to back this kid up.Comment -
