#194Geez guys...this is just a fun thread...I thought.
Just because you post a dog doesn't mean you are betting them.
Let's not make it too complicated.
Mag chose to post records and that's fine
...he doesn't even have to do that - simply writing 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place is enough. Or posting the winners for the day.Comment -

Don't believe me? Take a look at the history of NoCoin's MLB threads over the last 3 seasons. Almost all dogs played and showing a profit of 80+ units for each of those seasons. We are talking about a profit of around 250 units over 3 seasons. Mitch51 is also hosting a dogs only thread and is currently sitting at about +3 units 2 weeks into the season. Doesn't look like much now but take a look at a 1.5 unit average per week multiplied by what 26 weeks in the season? Again you are looking at a pace of about 35-40 units profit come October. Most people once they try sticking mostly to dogs in MLB will never go back to laying that -170 on Clayton Kershaw.Comment -

#204yeah, LT said the same thing. That is a shit load of work!!! LOL. When they have contests @ SBR I sometimes join them, BUT, their computer does all work for them in the standings. I would have to do this all by hand everyday, no chance of that. If you guys want to POST your own + - units that's fine. Other than that, I don't know what else to say. We can simply drop thread, was trying to have some fun, and a few guys asked me to start this again this year, so I did. But I am no computer. LOL. Whatever you guys want to do. JUST DUMP THE THREAD.Comment -

I couldn't disagree with you more if I tried. There are a number of excellent MLB cappers on this site and almost all of them will tell you that the reason they do so well and love betting MLB so much is because picking dogs is the easiest way to make money on this sport. Obviously you shouldn't be picking 6 or 7 dogs a day average but if you are doing your homework and identifying those couple of matchups each day where you are getting essentially a coin toss and the better pitcher at plus money you are probably gonna hit an average of somewhere around 50% and win the juice instead of paying it to the book. When you look at that over 300-400 plays in a season at an average of +120 odds then you are talking around a 40 unit profit.

Hoping you stick with this thread Mag. As one of the initial people who asked you to do this again this year I think that the people who understand the value of playing dogs in MLB will stick around and the ones who don't like are not obligated to be here. I also think seeing as how its your thread, you set the guidelines of what you think will work best and is easiest for you and everyone else will just need to accept that. I certainly appreciate your efforts for this thread as I am sure a lot of others do as well. Its meant to be fun and show how profitable dogs can be in MLB. I am certainly willing to track my own record if that makes it easier for you.
Quite a few fella's on here agreed to keep track of their units. It is a good idea by LT & Red Zone. It's just impossible for one guy to do it all. I am sure anyone in here will be accurate, why would anyone want to take their own credability away in front of everybody ??? They wouldn't. Thanks again men & BOL & continued success.<br>

#210It's a tight race so far.I know you two guys will eventually be in the lead, as this is you forte. You have some competition with Mitch 51 & Red Zone, 2 da bank and several others. Me, not so much LOL. Keep up the good work.
