Just a note that I failed to mention to all the followers of the thread. I will be making entries into the SBR spreadsheet and I would encourage other posters to do the same in order to provide a quick recap of your plays and money management.
Money management in the words of my good friend TheLock is critical in maintaining success. Alot of guys are lured in on the Heaven's Gate money management system but I caution you. As with any money system, if you are picking games correctly they all seem to work. You need to protect the downside, when selections are not going well.
As always, opposing points of view are welcome. There is no intention to bash anyone, just looking for full fledge debate.

Contrarian Radar
The Cincy Reds go blinking on the contrarian radar in the early opener. You should expect Santana to be a bigger price, but contrarian indicators are pushing hard against the Mets.
The Cards have been favorite since the board opened. However, their price has steadily come down, looking for the square money to pick them up. The Bucs are definitely on the radar.
For those of you who followed me last year, I will often select the double dog contrarian play, with a strategy of hitting at least one of the dog selections, thus generating a profit for the day.
Reds and Pirates are getting a lookse for the double dog contrarian play.

I was hoping you could comment on my question regarding the Reds and Mets Run Line bet since Im seeing your contrarian indicators may be supporting my argument. I am thinking of putting a bet in for the Reds +1.5 runs due to my belief that the line seems a bit odd. It currently has the Mets run line at a +105 and the Reds at -125. With ace Santana on the mound with a more potent offense behind him, wouldnt you think that this should be a bit higher? Im thinking bookies want the public to pound the mets runline only to have this stay a close game. Can you please give me your thoughts on this? Thank you!

Precisely, my thought. I saw your post earlier on another thread, and I agree with your point of view. But be careful about playing to too many runline games, they can eat into profit if you start to make enough wrong selections. I played one last night as you saw but don't get carried away. Generally, if you are inclined to play a dog with the angle your talking about here, the runs usually won't make a difference.
I hope this helps and welcome to the thread.
Stay threaded girl!

Selection
Let's go with the following double dog contrarian play for this afternoon.
Reds +140 risking 1.0 to win 1.40
Pirates +155 risking 1.0 to win 1.55
Total Risk, 2.00 units to win 2.95
Go to the window and ask them for the double dog contrarian play, perhaps they will know what that is.
