    Washington / Baltimore [4/03]
    04/03 15:30
From Norfolk Tide's (AAA) Harbor Park NORFOLK, VA

    LVSC OPEN:

    WASHINGTON +120
    BALTIMORE -130

    Thoughts, leans on this game?

As this pre-season moves to a close, I'd really like to watch and wait for season openers- (get a little R&R as I have completed my early season projections and can't wait for this season to start) but I will be at the game tomorrow, so I gotta get a piece of this action.

Spring training games can be a crap-shoot.

Little exposure/intel of the games by useful regular season sources, and teams erratic play from pitching to the line-up can make things difficult.

Who will the SP's be in this game?
WASHINGTON's SP could be BERGMANN. He's been off a while with limited action.

MARTIS would be the best choice for WASHINGTON, IMO. I think he would do well against the Orioles club.

UEHARA is supposed to do well for BALTIMORE this year. Experienced, yes. But I believe that WASHINGTON has this guy's number.

RP's seem to be anyone's guess- who should be probable to pitch? Will BALTIMORE pitch SHERRILL, SARFATE, or RAY?

Is LIZ indefinitely resassigned to the minors, again? I read that SALAZAR also got reassigned in USA TODAY, but that is not true.

This is spring training, anything can happen!

    projecting the pitching

    Orioles Rotation:

    1. RHP Jeremy Guthrie

    2. RHP Koji Uehara

    3. LHP Mark Hendrickson

    4. RHP Adam Eaton

    5. RHP Alfredo Simon

    Nationals Rotation:

    1. LHP John Lannan

    2. LHP Scott Olsen

    3. RHP Daniel Cabrera

    4. RHP Shairon Martis

    5. RHP Jordan Zimmermann

I expect MARTIS to be SP this game for the Nats.

LANNAN, OLSEN just got off games and CABRERA is listed day-to-day after not pitching March 27th due to injury.
I don't expect to see CABRERA in this game, but it's spring training so he may try and throw an inning or two after the 4th.

Not sure if we'll see BERGMANN.

I specualte UEHARA will be the SP for the Orioles.
