The sparkling announcers let Chavez slide on that pathetic attempt at third in what turned out being the pivotal moment of the contest. I guess they're so used to jerking him off because of his golden glove that they didn't want to mention how he looked like a 50-year old softball player when he went after that waist high bouncer that should have been an inning ending double play instead of a 2-run "single".
