Y'all are smokin!! Who in the world (besides Carpenter for 1 or 2 starts) could you honestly say will shut down the Mets?? I'm waiting.... All I gotta say about the Cards' pen is bring on Braden Looper in a tight game at Shea and watch the back of his pants....

Cards in 6. The playoffs are all about timing, and the Cards are ramping up their production just in time.

Wait no longer. Neither team even has a legit fourth starter in this series. And it's not so much that St. Louis doesn't have anyone to shut down the Mets, but that New York doesn't have a lot of starting pitching to shut down the Cards when they get rolling, either.

I went with the Cards in seven. Don't really have a strong lean with either team right now to tell you the truth, just picking the Redbirds because I think they feel lucky as you-know-what to even be in the playoffs and they're going to make the most of the chance they've been given.

By the way, the only other time these two met in the postseason, New York won in five (2000 NLCS).

Mets in 6. Mets are the only legit team in the NL and the Cards are lucky to be here.
