Just managed one of the worst series I've seen in quite some time, capped by the move to bring Wacha in with the season on the line.
Wow.

Wow.
He's an over rated stiff who was lucky to land in a winning organization. Listened to tonight's game on the radio and the Cardinal announcers were even aghast at his decision to pitch Wacha who hasn't worked for a good spell and they kept saying and "why with a left hander in the bullpen" when whoever it was that was batting for the Giants. It is rare to hear the homer announcers question their manager.
This is the same idiot who made the decision to start Wainwright in the All-Star game over Kershaw and it ultimately cost the National League the game. The guy really has very poor judgment and questionable decision making skills.

I don't know about the series? I though he was okayish. Wacha coming was a meltdown though, can only think he thought he was in for long relief early but he didn't last an inning!
Waino shouldn't of come out also, that curve he was thowing tonight was on another level. I just revisited some highlights and it's even better now to watch than at the time, thing had a freaking anchor attached AND seemed to move sideways a big margin! Panik just laid into one, ya get that.
Imo from a baseball purists point of view this WS is going to be epic, looking forward to this for the first time in a few seasons a lot more than usual. Great D, solid starters, one epic pen one good one that's found it's mojo at the right time, two line ups that love a grind and some dirty looking small ball, bring it on. Royals 4-1, just don't think the Giants can keep getting those runs across they've been managing the past few weeks against the KC d.

This isn't the same St Louis from a few years ago
They over achieved imo.

No, that was horrible by Matheny. His team fought and overachieved and he let them down by mismanaging the bullpen.

Wainwright was dialed in.

No comparison. Yost isn't in Bochy's league in terms of managerial skills.
I like the Royals and feel the worst thing that could have happened has happened i.e. Yost's stay in K.C. will be extended because of the season they have had.
Best thing that could have happened (speaking long term) would have been for the A's to win their series with the Royals due to Yost's now forgotten idiot pitching move. He'd be history and the Royals would be a better franchise for it down the road.
