because then you are taxing your pen and possibly costing yourself several gms instead of just letting the starter stay out there and take 1 for the team...

I think the bullpen will shutdown the mets now, and we see, but sometimes baseball makes no sense.

Especially when you starting pitcher has been up previous night doing lines of cocaine....
