Carrasco's start today is not a routine start, more like a spot start to get a chance. He pitchted in two relief appearances vs the Yankees and had good numbers but relief pitching and starting pitching numbers are not the same since starters usually face the entire order of the lineup whereas reliever 3-6 players at most (except long relievers).
