    Alex Cobb or Jeff Samardzija
Line and everything favors A's but I like Cobb in this matchup as the underdog. Cobb is 3-1 with a 1.42 ERA against the A's since 2012 and he is on a roll with 5-0 with a 2.65 ERA over his last six starts. Samardzija has never faced the Rays.
On paper this games looks like a pitcher's duel to me hence leaning under 7 here.
    Any thoughts on that?

I look at the line and feels it favors the Rays. Opened at Rays +143 now down to +127. If you take away the inning where the Royals gifted the 8 runs to them, the A's offense hasn't done squat. I expect the Rays to come out highly motivated after getting beat by the angels. Even if Jeff were to give up 2 or 3 runs, going to be hard for the A's to get more.

        Best of luck!

Cobb struck out 39 over 37 1/3 IP to along the mentioned stats. Big innings like in the Kansas City vs Oakland game on Saturday or Kazmir's 5 runs on Sunday are things I don't want to see tonight.
The Rays are not so bad on the road, I mean they have won 13 of their last 14 games on the road and 8 straight (3 games before the all-star break and 5 after)

I like the Rays here, like you guys said, people will probably pound As but Rays are not a team I ever like betting against. They play hard every game
