Marlins announcers are not letting it go at all. Can't blame them - it's their job in a way. Thing is, seems ridiculous to require Mathis to leave a lane when the ball beat the runner by 10 feet. The runner was nowhere close to being in the lane to use it.

Yeah. That is me to a tee. Worst fix I have seen in a long time. Seven minute review. Cozart ruled safe, where in any game of baseball. Anywhere on the planet, he was out yesterday. Could not believe what I saw when Winters ruled him safe.

Cozart never slid. Hutton had a great point. Cozart was baiting the review with his poor base running. He was out yesterday, and in any game of baseball except for Mlb. What is even more disgusting is they took seven minutes. Cooled off Morris and then the Reds got the lead. Morris should have been allowed to warm up for as long as he wanted. At least seven penetrating minutes.

Nope. One way or the other, the rule has to change because of this ridiculous application of it. Asinine. It's like some of the penalties in the NFL - game-changing technicalities are not entertaining.

Some unidentified person in New York decided that Cozart was safe. I have a real hard time accepting that when you look at that play. Why bother having any umpires at all? Just let the managers call New York when they have a challenge on anything. Hell, baseball proved tonight that they sure the hell do not need a home plate umpire. Let a computer call the balls and strikes, and the managers challenge to the suit in New York.

This all goes back to the Cousins collision at the plate.
This is the play that started it all, when Posey isn't whining pretty much about anything in life, he pushed hard to get the rule that is in place now.

Yeah, that's pathetic. It's amazing that even with instant replay the MLB won't make the right calls because the rules aren't open to interpretation. NHL pulls the same shit with 'inconclusive evidence' that the puck crossed the goal line. Needs to stop. Officiating in the main reason I don't watch the NFL and now it's trickling over to this shit.
