#9Haven't checked your thread yet but did you add marlins? I've tailed u on the under 3.5 TT so as long as they don't score in 9th we should be okay.Originally posted by BiffTFinancialWorst decision that I've seen on a baseball field since Robin Ventura charged Nolan Ryan.Comment -

#10Marlins announcers are not letting it go at all. Can't blame them - it's their job in a way. Thing is, seems ridiculous to require Mathis to leave a lane when the ball beat the runner by 10 feet. The runner was nowhere close to being in the lane to use it.Comment -

#11No i didn't add Marlins, but i feel for anyone who had them. Our TT is in jeopardy, man on with Mesoraco at plate (leads NL in 9th inning HRs)Originally posted by thunderousHaven't checked your thread yet but did you add marlins? #13Yeah. That is me to a tee. Worst fix I have seen in a long time. Seven minute review. Cozart ruled safe, where in any game of baseball. Anywhere on the planet, he was out yesterday. Could not believe what I saw when Winters ruled him safe.Originally posted by BiffTFinancialIf you are a Marlins backer, you may feel free to act as if you are a character in "The Purge." #14That's my point. I understand the call on a bang-bang play. But when a guy is out by a mile like that, common sense....Originally posted by BiffTFinancialMarlins announcers are not letting it go at all. Can't blame them - it's their job in a way. #16Phew. Winters' strike zone in 8th was small, helping Fish. selfishly hope it's not that way in bottom 9th (Fish backers deserve a Tim McClelland-sized strike zone).Originally posted by BiffTFinancialNo i didn't add Marlins, but i feel for anyone who had them. #17Cozart never slid. Hutton had a great point. Cozart was baiting the review with his poor base running. He was out yesterday, and in any game of baseball except for Mlb. What is even more disgusting is they took seven minutes. Cooled off Morris and then the Reds got the lead. Morris should have been allowed to warm up for as long as he wanted. At least seven penetrating minutes.Originally posted by No coincidencesThat's my point. I understand the call on a bang-bang play. But when a guy is out by a mile like that, common sense....

#21Nope. One way or the other, the rule has to change because of this ridiculous application of it. Asinine. It's like some of the penalties in the NFL - game-changing technicalities are not entertaining.Originally posted by rceneWhat happened tonight was not good for the game.Comment -

#22Some unidentified person in New York decided that Cozart was safe. I have a real hard time accepting that when you look at that play. Why bother having any umpires at all? Just let the managers call New York when they have a challenge on anything. Hell, baseball proved tonight that they sure the hell do not need a home plate umpire. Let a computer call the balls and strikes, and the managers challenge to the suit in New York.Originally posted by BiffTFinancialNope. This play is going to lead to change. That happened with the tag play earlier this season, though it wasn't as outrageous as this horseshit.Comment -

#30Whiny, nanci-boi Buster Posey is to blame.
This all goes back to the Cousins collision at the plate.
This is the play that started it all, when Posey isn't whining pretty much about anything in life, he pushed hard to get the rule that is in place now.

#31Nash, that is an extreme example. Football players get hit with less force than Posey did in that clip.
That could have potentially killed him. Didn't Pete Rose end some catcher's career doing the same shit?Comment -

#35Yeah, that's pathetic. It's amazing that even with instant replay the MLB won't make the right calls because the rules aren't open to interpretation. NHL pulls the same shit with 'inconclusive evidence' that the puck crossed the goal line. Needs to stop. Officiating in the main reason I don't watch the NFL and now it's trickling over to this shit.Comment
