Why do people moan and whinge when...
...bad teams that they back LOSE ?

I see lots of it on here. People crying when a shite team (Padres today as an example) lose ? Do they not get the fact that they're suppose to lose.

great post. Sometimes people just need to vent, its natural.

You make a great point though, sometimes i think some of us try too hard to be contrarian and look at meaningless stuff like line movement, who the public is on, the due factor, and see at + number and assume "value"

Lets call a spade a spade and call it like we see it. Sometimes its okay to lay chalk and sometimes the wrong team is favored but line is out of place simply b/c of standard procedures i.e. the sportsbooks factoring too much of a home field advantage into the line...

Take tonight for example... Should the Rays really truely be favored over the Brewers and Lohse?

What has Ordorizzi done to warrant being a favorite in a ball park that is half empty 90% of the time against a better team and a better pitcher?

But the books wouldnt dare have the balls to make the Brewers the road fave b/c that would be "too telling"

Similar scenario in Boston except Boston fans are great fans... and i think the Red Sox do play better at home..

however the wrong team is favored here. Bucholz will most likely get his ripped tonight
and the Redsox won't sniff Dickey's knuckler.

Jays are the better team, Dickey is the better pitcher.

books are hanging a soft one here. Pound the Jays if you like making it rain.

You had me at whinge. I learned a new word today... Bear's right, bitching is just a natural thing, to some more than others. "You'd bitch if they hung you with a new rope", is a favorite saying of mine...

As opposed to the posters who whine after they drink heavy juice on a play and the "better" team gets beat? Yeah, you never see that around here.

Funny to see the Brock Landers and Big Bear types suddenly act all high and mighty when they get lucky taking a couple of "easy" favorites like the Dodgers last night and the Braves today. Yet they're also the same ones who inevitably lose their asses when the "impossible" happens and "logical" plays suddenly don't work in their favor in baseball. It's not only a probability -- it's a certainty.

Stop acting like the Dodgers and Braves rolled, and these were the easiest plays in the world. You caught a break or two. Your comeuppance is right around the corner.
