    Pinnacle Sports screwed me on my Baltimore bet 7/13/14. Advice?
    So I bet Baltimore -1 vs NYY yesterday and Baltimore is up 3-1 after 5 innings. The game is delayed for hours and then called a complete game by the MLB and Baltimore wins 3-1 final.

    Pinnacle refunds my bet saying:

    [Baseball] [MLB] [Game] New York Yankees vs Baltimore Orioles. Your bet with ticket-ID: #### has been refunded. All bets taken have been refunded due to the following reason: [The game did not go 8.5 (if home team is ahead) or 9 full innings.] . Thank you!

    I e-mailed support and expressed how I thought it was a winner. Then got a reply:

    Dear Sir,

    Your wager was graded based on the rules on our site for First-half wagers.

    First-Half Wagers (5 innings):

    1. All wagers on baseball first halfs (5 innings) will be decided on the basis of the score at the end of five full innings.
    2. If a game does not go five full innings, all first-half wagers (5 innings) will be canceled.

      But my bet was not a HALF wager, it was a full game -1 wager. Any thoughts? Anyone
      experience this before with Pinnacle? What should I do?

    The CS agent has just sent you the wrong rule.

    Have you looked at their rules to decide if the grading really is wrong? http://www.pinnaclesports.com/help/betting-rules

    Here's the rule I think applies if you haven't. 1) and 3) ;

    Baseball Rules

    Baseball

    General:

    1. When wagering on either total runs (over/under) or team totals (over/under) the game must go 9 innings (8.5 if the home team is ahead) to have action. If a game is called or suspended in extra innings, the score will be determined after the last full inning unless the home team scores to tie, or takes the lead in the bottom half of the inning, in which case the score is determined at the time the game is called.

    2. When listed pitchers are offered, wagers on total runs (over/under) and team totals (over/under) will be refunded if a pitcher change occurs prior to both listed pitchers throwing at least one pitch.

    3. Rules for Run Line (handicap) and Alternate Run Line (alternate handicap) wagers are the same as those for baseball totals.

      Ur an idiot. Why did u even make this topic. Even a first half wager would get refunded and now you are harassing pinnacle? Why? Game did not complete 5 innings,it is almost the same ruling in everysportsbook and bookie. The game did not complete 8.5 innings so it is not a full game either, what is so hard to understand? When it says game won 3-1 final after 5 at mlb that is just for theleague, pretty much every bet on that game was "voided" it's called voided, not refunded. Also the book can choose to do as they wish if there is a discrepancy on exactly how many innings were played or if a half inning was fullycompleted or notand they always side in their favor ifthey so choose. Suck it up.

                I had similar wagers with William Hill O's -145 first five and O's -1.5 full game. My local book paid both bets today.... not questions asked.

                From the Pinnacle web site
                The rule is :
                4. The result of a game is official after 5 innings of play unless the home team is leading after 4.5 innings. If a game is called or suspended, the winner is determined by the score after the last full inning unless the home team scores to tie, or takes the lead in the bottom half of the inning, in which case the winner is determined by the score at the time the game is called. Monies will be refunded if the home team ties the game and it is then suspended. Events will not carry over to the following day unless otherwise specified.

                1. You need to follow up with Pinnacle as you definitely should be paid, no question!

                    If this is their rule then u should be paid. The game didn't go 5 full innings but it did go 4.5 full innings & the home team was winning. According to the criteria posted here it looks like a winner to me.

                      mikel9711 has not quoted the correct rule.

                      See post #2 in this thread.

                      Obviously a few of you don't read so I'll point out the two important sentences;

                      When wagering on either total runs (over/under) or team totals (over/under) the game must go 9 innings (8.5 if the home team is ahead) to have action.

                      and

                      Rules for Run Line (handicap) and Alternate Run Line (alternate handicap) wagers are the same as those for baseball totals.

                          Pretty much every book has a rule that all run line wagers must go 9 innings to have action. Look in their baseball rules, 99,9% sure it's stated there somewhere.

                          Edit: Never mind, it's already quoted a post above mine.
