Tues 6/17- Can UVA be beaten??? I'm back for another college baseball winner

From the greatest conference in baseball, UVA has come forth with a win Sunday that secures their spot in the winners bracket vs Texas Christian.


TCU barely got in the CWS by defeating Pepperdine in a 3 game series. (I gave you a +170 win on game 2)

TCU opted to rest their ace left hander Sunday vs Tx Tech.


The coaches did this because if they lose to Tx Tech they face Ole Miss- who has 5 LH batters. And if they win they face UVA who has 4 LH batters. Either way, it was a great move.


TCU will start Finnegan who is ready to go. I was really hoping TCU would lose to Tx Tech so I could play TCU (large) vs Ole Miss. But unfortunately TCU has drawn a club from the best conference in the nation. TCU is 9-4 in (1) run games this season. This looks to be yet another low scoring game in this CWS.


UVA relies almost 100% on their defense, they barely mustered a win and more than 1 run vs mediocre ole miss…who UL Lafayette should have (but didn’t) easily dispatched in the super regional. I really think TCU wins this game.


The line is not out yet, if you have a book with odds on this game post it. TCU at even+ is worth the stretch.

Well boys, the Greek has released

TCU +100
UVA -120


I meant in when I said TCU at +EV but I really did not expect the love from the oddsmakers. I thought TCU would be at least +130 or so.

I've considered laying off this game. The odds indicate the best team in the country is a bargain, a STEAL at -120.

Or... they're BEGGING you to take UVA because TCU is going to win this game but there's no way they could get away with giving TCU juice.


What's the worst thing that can happen to a gambler? He loses his nerve.


I will be waiting for the books to adjust to the public love on UVA and hopefully get TCU at a better number. I also suspect the square books will be giving a much better number on TCU than +100. ie; bodog (bovada), sportsbook ag, ect. But, you dont want to wait 3-12 weeks to get paid either! If this line moves it will be in favor of TCU bettors.

UVA is also starting their ace lefty. He is pretty damn good also. Here's the thing though, TCU is not a LH hitting team.

A lot of righty hitters vs lefty match-ups for TCU on offense and lefty vs lefty on defense. Oh, and a first round draft pick pitcher.
