Pedro Martinez done for the year

ATLANTA (AP) -- The New York Mets were worried about Pedro Martinez's right leg. As it turns out, his other leg will keep him from pitching in the playoffs.

Martinez's injury-plagued season came to an end Thursday -- less than a week before the start of the postseason -- when an exam showed he has a torn tendon in his left calf muscle.

Orlando Hernandez better step it up then come playoff time, or the Mets will be in for a rough ride.

Doesn't matter, any of the NL teams will get squashed in the World Series, imo.
