Mike Rose: Oakland (Zito) at Los Angeles -125
After getting beaten in his first two starts against them this year, John Lackey rebounded to win his next two starts and I’m looking for him to put forth a solid effort in what’s certain to be his last start of the year.
This could have been the beginning of an electrifying four game set between the A’s and Halos, but LA lost a tough one Tuesday night allowing the A’s to clinch the division.
I’m not looking for Mr. Zito to get much work here, nor do I expect the A’s to care much if at all about performing in this series.
The Halos on the other hand will give it their all in front of the home crowd, and send them off hopeful of what’s to come next year.
