Peavy is starting for the Red Sox, Estrada for the Brewers. I really like the over in this game. Thoughts?

Brewers have struggled to hit against a Braves staff that is missing their best pieces. 4 runs, .186 average. 237 OBP. I doubt they find their offense today so if you want the over, i think it will have to come mostly from the Sox.

I do expect RedSox to get the win tonight. Maybe i will go with Boston ML or SL -1.5

Have someone that agrees with me. See my post on this game. Everybody is telling me under, so I took the over. Opening day @ Fenway is always a big deal around here. That little "bandbox" is conducive to scoring runs, I hope today anyway. BOL.

I saw your thread. I have to say that usually i agree with you, especially on NBA.
The main reason i took the over here is:
            1. I've got a great price for Over 8 at 1.90 (-111) at the moment. Most books offer Over 8.5 @1.83 (-120).
            2. I saw that most of the public is on the Under 8.5.
            3. I saw Milwaukee at the Spring training. Most of their matches went above 6-7 runs. And i was a bit disappointed with the score in their match against the Braves.

Anyway, hope we get the Over.

Not betting on this one but i'd lean under, Estrada has been pitching really well 4-0 2.14 ERA in spring training, and the Brewers offense had struggled so far.

Good for a couple of pitchers who force alot of fly balls.

I like the under for the following reasons.

                        1. Red Sox give Peavy the home start, which is meaningful. He will pitch lights out today!

                        2. Although it's early, Milwaukee is hitting a dismal .161 against right handing pitching to start the season.

                        3. Last Year, Estrada pitched very well on the road, where we has 5-2 with a 2.09 ERA and an excellent WHIP.

                        4. John Q. Public likes the Over!

I'll take the Under 8.5 for 2.5% of my bankroll.

Red Sox...on the local news now, not taking batting practice due to the ceremonies, 1st five under looks tasty

Not the ones banging off the "Green Monster" nobody can get them home. What about that bullet off the wall from Milwaukee, anyplace else, homer, here, it is a single. LOL First the triple to left in the 1st or 2nd and leave him stranded. They are killing me not scoring these nitwits. Both have had plenty of chances. It's not like Koufax is pitching against Gibson. LOL

What made you guys think Brewers would be scoring 4 or more today? They have not in any game yet...not saying they still can't. Not trying to be a jerk...actually I don't have to try.
No really, was it Peavy? I can understand that to some degree.

Hey man. I was just giving you what I thought was a better option than Over 8 for the game. I saw a 5-3 or 6-2 type game...I was more confident in Boston ' s bats than Brewers bats.
Still Pullin for ya bud. Sorry for giving my input...I am not one to be good at calling Overs as you know.
