Yeah, it's weird. You tend to chase and bet big when you're losing, yet get conservative when you're winning. Just a natural reaction, I guess.

Like Tigers today NC. Dont think I have seen a single person in forum or twitter land that likes them so guess I dont feel too much like a homer today. Sale is solid as they come but he has faced a bunch of crappy LH hitting teams other than Angels which he did keep in check for 7+ last time out., I like Max to show up today. Tigers have seen Sale more than most other teams to this point, so I think they will be fine.

Its really pretty stupid because when Im I doing well I'm usually in "the zone" and hitting a lot of plays in a row. The reverse is true when I'm cold. Anything crazy that could happen to beat me does.


Why do we do this? We could make more money on hot streaks and lose less on cold streaks.

Chasing losses nobody likes to have losing day. Also a little bit of arrogance/cockiness thinking we can't keep possibly losing so we keep firing away to try to get the "variance" to swing back our way. I almost always adjust unit size if I get on cold or hot streak but I try to flat bet most the time.

I've been thinking about the get hot/bet smaller and go cold/start chasing stuff a lot today -- especially given so many of us have admitted to having the same problem. I really, really liked both the Rockies and Orioles today, yet I went smaller than I was going to strictly because I had a perfect day yesterday. That makes zero sense when you think about it.

I don't know. I need to get past that. I have been in a rhythm this week, yet instead of taking full advantage, I've scaled back and I'm going to be mad at myself when I lose the momentum that I didn't capitalize.
