Not in Vegas but I have my own model that I spend a lot of time on. It's been working for me for a while now but who knows how accurate it is...
How do you guys go about picking games? Look at statistics and mix it with gut feel to figure out what lines look like they have value? I generally just use a margin of safety on what my model tells me. Something like 10-15 cents off and I make a play...Comment -
Cool. Not even sure how to begin building a model for capping. I do it pretty much the way you stated...sometimes for O/U totals, I look at the starting pitchers before lines come out and guess what the total will be. If it's higher by a run or half a run, that makes my decision easier. Pretty easy to determine what team totals will be without the Over/Under after looking at the starter's history vs the opposing team and how they generally do away/home.Comment -
