    Chacon and NYY -225 ?
Pretty steep price ! I'd either bet Anaheim, or pass ! I can't bring myself to play chalk like that !

I might try taking Chacon -1 -167 for a small wager. Can't see Washburn lasting more than 5 innings in the Bronx

-1 bets aren't good, you can get a better price playing a combo of ML and -1.5. I'll explain later, when I have more time.

okay, I'll wait for your explanation. I like to get an edge in MLB.
          Thanks, Dough

Pinnacle has changed their lines. There was a glitch where you would do better betting it at ML and RL. On games that aren't big spreads ( like Atl) Pinny used to have a difference of about 12 cents on the -1 line, now it's at 8 cents, so it's fine.

              Atl -1 -103
              Hous +1 -111

earlier this would have been more like

              Atl -1 -101
              Hous +1 -113

I did the math on NYY, and the -1 is even a little better.

              NYY -219
              NYY -1.5 -107
              NYY -1 -164

              If you bet:

              Nyy -1 -164 , risk 1000 to win 609.75

splitting it ( using algebra) to create a -1 line yields

              NYY -219 686.53 to win 313.48
              NYY -1.5 -107 313.48 to win 292.97

This pays $3.30 less in this case !

However you can create your own -1 line anywhere with this method, and still beat the -1 price by shopping and betting each half at the best line.

It's not worth much now since Pinny no longer gouges you on the -1 line !

Makes sense that the Yanks would be a big favorite. Chacon has been their best pitcher of late. They're at home with their backs against the wall facing elimination. Washburn is nothing special either. Call me a homer, but I still think the Yanks have a shot in this series. They've already beaten Colon @ Anaheim and there's no reason to believe they can't do it again.

                  Angels or nothing.

                  Over is a strong play.

To be honest, I think it was worth laying -225 with Chacon against Washburn because of his struggles in the playoffs and against the Yankees. If I had to play the game now, the Angels makes more sense, because Lackey is a great big-game pitcher. Still, I don't see the Yankees losing tonight.

I'm on Ana, over, and both parlayed. I never lay that kind of chalk on bases !
