John Fina: Play Cards vs. Brewers
Game Time: 9/18/2006 8:05:00 PM (EST)

The Cardinals and Brewers open a series tonight in Milwaukee, and St. Louis is the play as they head towards another NL Central crown.
Today the St Louis Cardinals will be on the road as they take on the Milwaukee Brewers. We will side with the Cardinals!
The Cardinals come into this game playing solid baseball (currently on a 4-1 run), and should be able to beat a below-average Brewers team tonight. The Cardinals will send to the mound Anthony Reyes who has already proven he can beat the Brewers. Reyes faced the Brewers once in the 2005 season, and once in the current 2006 season. In the 2005 season (8/9/05) he held the Brewers to only two runs in 6.1 innings pitched. In this current 2006 season (8/5/06) Reyes held the Brewers to only three runs in 5 innings pitched.
We see Anthony Reyes pitching another solid game against the poor bats of the Brewers.
While the Brewers are finding it hard to score runs, the Cardinals will be scoring runs easily. That's because the Brewers will send to the mound Chris Capuano who lost his last start against the Cardinals on 8/6/06. And we don't see anything special from him tonight.
The Brewers are also 2-8 in Capuano's last 10 overall starts. It's also good to note that the Brewers are 8-23 when facing the Cardinals at Milwaukee, as well as being 20-45 in their last 65 games against the Cardinals.
The value is clearly with the Cardinals!
