Juan Pierre? Casey Blake? Manny Ramirez?

I thought they were going into camp thinking Blake would be at the hot corner and shifting DeWitt over to second to take over for Kent. Could obviously change in the next few weeks depending if they do ink Manny. I was disappointed to see Loretta get away from Houston which is already a bit thin on the infield, guy is remarkably versatile.

I'm worried about the Dodgers pitching staff. I'm not sure how comfortable I am with Billingsley and Kuroda at the top of the rotation. I think LA spent too much time waiting on Manny and maybe should have moved on some starting pitching.

If Schmidt can make a comeback, he along with Kuroda Kershaw and Billingsley isn't a bad top 4 at all.

It certainly doesn't scream "proven" though, that's for sure.

Will be extremely tough to outpitch the Webb/Haren/Scherzer punch that the D-Backs will have.

Schmidt?! Man, I'm just not sure how to guage him right now. Wolf and Kershaw are the real keys for me. Reasonable to expect better-than-average seasons from Billingsley and Kuroda. Just too difficult for me to think of them getting anything out of Schmidt at this time and wonder if he could be better off going to a relief role as Kerry Wood has been able to do at this stage.

Kershaw will be lights out with the little bit of seasoning under his belt last year. I do think that as Manny weighs his options he will soon be back in Dodger blue for a two year contract. The Dodgers are a shoo in to be in the running for the NL West crown. I wouldn't count on Schmidt to make it through the seaso though. Maybe he should be brought along slowly and used as a middle reliever to get his arm strength up and spot start him for the beginning of the year so as to not over work his arm. But Joe Torry is a master at pushing buttons, so he will figure it out. Furcal is key. If he stays healthy they have speed at the top of the order. Not quite sure how DeWitt will handle being a fulltime player. In terms of production if he hits behind Manny he will have good numbers. Hell I might have good numbers hitting behind manny lol!
