I'm still a little confused by how/why this guy is the most dominant pitcher in baseball now.

With his age I guess he could be regressing but he's been lights out as you say. But he's been solid his entire time out of the pen from memory hasn't he? it's not like it's anything new.

Just has the right stuff because it certainly isn't over powering! Can't get a free base off him though you've got to earn it and as he's proved time and time again he's tough to hit.

He has really good stuff and he hides the ball well. You don't have to throw 100 to be successful.

I have a feeling if you were in the box against him it would look 95.

Uehara + Farrell guidance = dominance

Lester pitches like an ace again after last yr debacle with the return of Farrell
The whole bullpen era drops dramatically

        Simply...Farrell is a pitcher's dream coach

high accuracy rate, good swing and miss rate, first pitch strike, ability to throw high and tight, stays ahead in the count, avoiding the wheelhouse

              Deceptive pitches, excellent movement.

Splitter than can move in many directions, hitters have to stay back on it and makes his other "fastball" look like 96 because you cant sit on it.
