I'm just saying.....regardless of the fact that the umps overruled and corrected the call, that was shady business right there. How that UMP could initially call him out at 2nd is AMAZING TO ME. That ball wasn't close to being a catch, it was CLEARLY dropped, i don't know what else to say.

it's happened a bunch of times this season

umpires getting together and overturning a call is nothing new

and yes, both managers argue (first the guy wanting them to get together, then the other guy if they overturn it)

Even though it was the right call, i think it was horseshit to put the runner back on. There's no instant replay in that circumstance, the UMP made a call, unless the UMP immediately corrects his own call, why should they all huddle up and THEN make the correct call. That's bullshit...lol. I feel sorry for Cards backers and if i was Matheny i would've got myself tossed, maybe thats what the team needs......imagine getting tossed in the 1st inning of the 1st game in the world series.....

Freese managed to not strike out, but I wish he did.

How much longer does Matheny leave Wainwright in? I mean lets be honest this one is done. He's got a bit of confidence back by the looks but has thrown a few pitches, no need for him to throw over 100 in this one let him redeem himself his next start. Probably get to see Axford at some stage get hammered to all parts of Fenway which will be entertaining (unless you're a Cards fan!).
