Is this a possibility boys? Seeing Gomes (.200), Victorino (.267) and Drew (.167) are the only BoSox to ever see Wainwright, and only Holliday and Molina (3 AB's each) have seen Lester?
Usually these types of situations give an advantage to the pitcher.....sure you can watch all the film you want, but until you actually see the ball released from in the batters box, it's difficult to prepare. Sure the batters will begin feeling more comfortable by their 2nd and 3rd AB's and throughout the series, but runs may be tough to come by early.
Couple that with the jitters of Game 1 of the World Series (Waino and Lester are veteran enough to handle the initial pressure) and the cold October air....I'm leaning this way.
Tearing my hair out trying to pick a side.....and may just go this route, and hope the defense does the job!
