1) Boston Strong - Tragedies breed triumphant victories. Argument 2001 Yanks. NYC had Piazza's HR and 2 walk off wins in Yankee Stadium prior to game 7. Also, I will forever argue that Joe Torre should have had the infield at DP depth for final hit.

2) Beards - They have a gimmick. Rally Monkeys. Cowboy up. Brian Wilson's beard. Kung Fu Panda.

3) They have a very visual ending to the series. We've seen Uehara celebrate and we've seen him jumping into the arms of various players.


All St. Louis has is Wacha Wacha Wacha.

Glad you read all of my post cause I addressed 2001 specifically.

What quirky or special moment has Stl had in this post season. There is no trademark moment or gimmicky thing. They have the Wacha Wacha shirts and that's it. They even complained about another's team quirky thing.

It's a bland forgettable team. Sox have that memorable thing about them.

Last time Stl won, what was their thing... Oh the come from behind never give up. It was the theme for their team and they went all the way.


The whole point is that championship team usually has something unique for the yr or postseason that is remembered long after the results are. The Sox have it, Cards don't.
