Very disappointing performance by the Cardinals in gm3. Biggest disappointment of the post season. With Wainwrigt out there and a chance to virtually end the series it's hard to believe they could be so lifeless on both offense and defense. Wainwright certainly pitched well enough to win - but the rest of the RedBirds were missing in action - at the plate, in the outfield and on the basepaths. And John Jay was worse than absent - if you didn't know better you would swear he was in the tank. Yadi Molina was the only guy who had live ABs and looked like he had any chance at the plate. Extremely uncharacteristic of Cardinals in the post season.
All that said - still going with the Cards tonight at +124 Game and +110 First 5 evenly weighted. The big reason is Nolasco. Although he's a 5 pitch guy (FB, SL, Split, CU, CH) and he had his career year this season - his last 3 starts in September were horrific - 19 runs over 12 innings. I'm looking for Holliday to do some damage tonight and hopefully Freese will play and Jay, who should be up for facing Nolaso, to wake up.
