I love this team. The hit, pitch, run, and play good defense. They're managed well and have a great home field advantage. If they didn't have such a good chance to win tonight, the price wouldn't be so low.

With that said, I could give two shits about "sharp" plays. I only care about winning plays. Verlander hasn't been Verlander this year but I'll still take him at this price over the rookie. Hopefully you guys learned something from last night.

    Detroit -104 (2x)

    Go Tigersssss!!!!

The sharp play was A's for the series at +140 or whatever.

Tonight is just flipping a coin.

      Almost a coin flip.

I'll take Verlander against the rookie. As much as I like Oakland, I think the Tigers get it done.

Oakland is a very good team. It's hard to bet against them.

Line indicates what is which is about a coin flip. I think if this game was played 100 times the Tigers would win the majority of them.

I like Verlander over the rookie. I understand Verlander hasn't been Verlander, the line, etc. but I don't care. I'm going with what I think is a winner.

If Oakland wins I will be rooting for them against Boston. I actually like both of these teams tonight.

I keep seeing this -- you do know that Oakland is at home and that they're the higher seed with the better regular season record, right? I'm not sure where the line should be, especially given Gray's already beaten JV once in this series.

Yeah, I suppose that makes sense given the initial line for the series and the fact that the Tigers took home field advantage by winning Game 1.

That's exactly what I'm thinking. The line is right where it should be. This isn't some trap line that is trying to get people to back Oakland.

I'm sure a ton of people are going to be on Oakland because

                    A) They're at home
                    B) They're a damn good team
                    C) They had a better year than the Tigers.

I'm going with the Tigers and acknowledging that Oakland is a very good team which is why the line is how it is douche.

This isn't a jinx thread or whatever else people do on here. I'm on Detroit. Nothing huge but I think they win. I don't care what side the public is on or what side this board thinks is sharp.

I'm on Detroit here aswell - I won't state how much . People are quantifying Verlander based on his YEARLY performance, but that doesn't take into account his RECENT performance, and he's pitched 22 scoreless innings. This Detroit lineup showed signs of life in elimination, Austin Jackson primarily, he's underrated when on base, Tigers have a 72% winning percentage when his OPS is >= .500 OPS. Detroit already won in Oakland.

I'm seeing the majority of tickets on Detroit ov 70% last I checked so line is not going in there favor at all. Lean Oak cause I'm a fan but have to agree with several others I've seen this could go either way. For Oak to win tho they have to get some off Jv a 1-0 game will not happen again.

Was Cabrera checking his ear ring as he was celebrating?

People are quantifying Verlander based on his YEARLY performance, but that doesn't take into account his RECENT performance, and he's pitched 22 scoreless innings. This Detroit lineup showed signs of life in elimination, Austin Jackson primarily, he's underrated when on base, Tigers have a 72% winning percentage when his OPS is >= .500 OPS. Detroit already won in Oakland.
