This is why I'm laying house on Detroit tonight...
Bet of the century? Does anyone really have any doubt that the Tigers are going to absolutely crush the no-name A's with a lineup full of scrubs that have been lucky enough to make it this far?

Verlander on the mound, easily one of the greatest pitchers in history - check.
    Fielder - check.
    Miggy - check.
    Martinez - check.

Folks - this game is going to be an embarrassing blowout for Oakland at home, who will be reminded of why, with their crap amount of money, they're starting players like Marlon Byrd and Coco Crisp. "Rick Vaughn? Willie Hays? I never heard of most of these guys. Mitchell Friedman?!?" Those are your big names that are going to get it done? No way. Verlander sticks it up the A's ass tonight and the Detriot bats put at least 7 on the board by themselves - they won't be duped by this scrub that the A's have on the mound twice.

    4 units Tigers even
    4 units Tigers -1.5 +175
    4 units over 6.5

Miggy, uncheck. Dude is maybe 70% right now and that's no seceret. Look at that line, they couldn't make you feel more comfortable taking Tigers.

Fielder, Miggy, & Martinez????? That's it??? The As have at least 6 or 7 bats just as good in their lineup! You know nothing about this game!

OP is a square as hell bettor and must not have been watching the A's this whole season. The reason why you've never heard of the A's lineup is because you're like every other square bettor that just pays attention to what's on yahoo or ESPN at night. BTW, Donaldson is an MVP candidate and Crisp is one the best outfielders defensively and leadoff hitters this year. Not to mention Athletics are one of the best home teams in baseball and especially more in the playoffs .

Tigers may win but to say Oakland is a rollover is idiotic.

Tigers are a Crisp away from being a truly elite team, regardless of their bullpen woes.

This game is an absolute coinflip and I would give a slight edge to Oakland due to the home crowd. I see a lot of guys talking about pitching/hitting matchups but what they're forgetting is the edge Oakland will get with that raucous home crowd on an elimination game. It will give them an edge tonight. This A's team feeds off the crowd's energy and is a totally different team at home. They hit like an all star lineup at the Coliseum.

When your leadoff hitter has 22 home runs (in a pitcher's dominated season), it's hard for your team not to be good.

                                          To address everyone:

                                          1. I worded the Marlon Byrd thing wrong. I know he plays for PIT. My point was that scrubs like him are the best the Oakland has. Felt the same way about Byrd with PIT. Was going to draw this comparison, but worded it wrong, etc. So, sorry, but I know that Marlon Byrd isn't on the A's - lol.

                                          2. The A's are scrubs. It's that simple. They're not big time ball players.

                                          3. I KNOW that Miggy is 70%. Didn't stop him from getting on base last game and starting a rally - correct?

It's not just Crisp's power, though. Tigers could really use his speed.

This team has way too many bats and power to go against them! These guys get on base all day! Lets face it what the Oakland As actually are is a perfect playoff team/story who I don't see ending there season tonight! Especially with one of the loudest stadiums in the MLB (Opened 10,000 extra seats up top which they usually just use for raider games) and a rookie pitcher who threw a gem on Saturday night , 8 innings pitched, 4 hits, 2 walks, 9 ks and 0 runs, and has only positive enormous amounts of confidence going in to this one with one main thing on his mind.... that he's gunna out pitch this former- Si young tonight and the red sox are waiting for As after this one... Not to mention verlander has pitched so poor this year not even being even close to mentioned in the AL si young running, he's not what he use to be and his record and era this season prove it. I won't even get into how much more solid the As bullpen is.... lol think this part is a no brainer!!

So I guess Josh Donaldson is a scrub ?? .301 BA , 24 HR's, 93 rbi .....better than anyone else on the Tigers other than Cabrera.

Moss is a scrub also with 30 hrs?

I'll take those scrubs all day every day. The reason why you dont see them as big time ball players is because they dont get those overpaid contracts like the players on the Tigers. They actually perform for their money.
