    Pittsburgh Pirates +47
This is a good price and an over reaction to the last game. Cole has good night and away numbers, the Cardinals haven't seen him, and the Pirates are batting .299 versus Wainwright on a decent sample size. Obviously there is pressure everywhere but I think Cole will be able to pitch more freely than Wainwright. I'm not afraid of the Cardinal hitters especially when you have a lead off guy who has been an embarrassment so far in the playoffs.

The place will be flowing with Budweiser and high energy but I look for Martin to park one early and shut them up.

One of the worst beats I took was when Matt Holiday dropped a routine two out none on fly ball that would have ended the game. it ended up costing them the playoffs. Wainwright was pitching.

One other thing, Clint Hurdle is solid when everything is on the line. The Rockies run in '07 looked like it was going to be over many times but he got them to the World Championships.

    Unloading on the Pirates.

they begging you to bet against one of the best big game pitchers around, a club full of professional hitters that knows how to plate a few runs in a big gm. facing a rookie and a bunch of guys that never been here...unload away pal but cards win this gm more times than the odds suggest..

cole's a stud but how can you go against wainwright and the cards?

cards will somehow pull this off. they always do...

hope people have the same view as the op and drive the line down to -130.

Taking the Pirates in this showdown. Cole was tremendous and I think he brings it again tonight. It's tough to bet against Wainwright but the current Pirates lineup has had some success against him with a .282 average, his strong performance in Pittsburgh the other day not withstanding.

The Cards aren't hitting... 6 runs over the last 3 games. Pirates are due for some postseason fun and I think they pull this out 4-2 or thereabouts. Last and definitely least, getting the Pirates at +155 is a bonus.

This game is closer to even than not, +150 is too rich to ignore. The pirates will upset the Cards tonite. I also have them + 250 minus 11/2 runs, at half of the money line bet. Good luck to all, but remember, books were built on upsets, not favorites.
