Braves at Phillies - Sep 3rd
    More fireworks in Philly

    By: Ken Jenkins

With the Atlanta pitching staff a shell of its former self and Philaldephia not much better, there is nothing about the first game of the Braves-Phillies twin bill today that points to a low-scoring affair.

Bobby Cox still hasn't given up hope, but don't tell the Braves pitching staff.

With 27 runs allowed in three games, including 16 last night, it has left the Braves' arms in tatters and Atlanta staring in at the wild card from the outside.

Meanwhile Philly is still just a game back in the Wild card as they look like a team no one wants to play come playoff time. With Atlanta having gone over seven of the last nine and Philly over in five of their last seven, the fireworks continue Sunday and we'll take the trend to the bank.

Play: Over 10 in Game 1
