I know its the marlins but the Phillies are not exactly world beaters and their effort can be questioned in some games as of late. Pitching for the marlins is a young kid who pitched better last time out was just the victim of some splash singles and spotty defense. I think the marlins offer a lot of value here as the underdog play.

and im waiting for someone to say Flynn walked 6 last time out but I watched the game it was a very very tight strike zone. he basically gave up one big home run.....don't let the that pitching line fool you.

Phils are on a tear and seem to be motivated to end the season strong for their new coach in Ryno. They didn't just beat the fish yesterday, the knocked the shit out of them. They will be eager to help Roy win what could be his last couple starts as a Phillie, and Dominic Brown, arguably their best hitter this year for the Phils is back in the lineup now as of the last couple days as well.

There's a reason the line is what it is, and I believe the Phils are going to knock the tar out of the fish again tonight.

It's amazing to me that anyone would consider laying that kind of juice with Halladay. He has a dead arm. He's finished. Does that mean Miami is the play? Not necessarily. But for chrissakes, either take the Fish or find a better game.

He was -110 last time because it was a completely different situation.

The betting market has no confidence in Halladay but he's at home against the worst lineup in baseball, and the opposing starter has allowed 9 earned runs in 8 MLB innings.

Any of the other Phillies starters would be a larger favorite, btw.

If this was the 2010 Halladay, the Phillies would probably be like -260.

lineups aren't great but I have to agree. Over 7.5 in Citizen's Bank Park with two pitchers who are struggling.

This might be a gift to the books put I took Philly -1.5 a small wager.

I bet over 7.5 and over 8.5 (alternate total).

                        oh and over 7 -133

the line on 7.5 was even and 8.5 was +133
