      Yeah... I remember sitting in a bar a few years ago with Halladay on TV and the guy next to me says, "Man, you just bet Halladay every time he pitches and you can't lose." How true it was. I was tempted to lay some bucks on Ross tonight but decided to pass.

                ty I think people looked at the ERA's halladay over 7 ross 2.79 plus san diego had been hitting... I was going to take the over in that game then I checked the weather and saw the storms coming so I passed...

                    Tough to see Halladay like this. Guy needs get it together or just retire. No point hurting his reputation with this kind of play.

                      Halladay will turn 37 next May. He's not going to retire with million$ on the table. A few months of downtime in the offseason is going to help him heal up from that shoulder surgery this year. At this point, the Phils should just shut him down for the season and hope for the best next year.
